About Us
Voiceflow is the enterprise conversational AI platform that helps CX teams own every customer interaction, from first resolution to proven ROI. We power 10,000+ live agents in production, handling 300,000 messages per minute with 500ms voice latency, and our customers report up to 70% AI resolution rates on support tickets. We're the tool conversation designers and engineers use to build, launch, and iterate on agentic workflows without rebuilds.
About the Role
You'll join the AI Product team as an AI Engineer focused on building the infrastructure that makes our agents actually work at scale. In your first thirty days, you'll be shipping a real end-to-end agent infrastructure piece that customers use. This role sits at the intersection of product and engineering β you'll work on core product features, dig into customer workflows, build evaluation harnesses, and help pre-develop our next wave of AI capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship end-to-end agent infrastructure for core product features
- Design and run evaluation pipelines to measure agent quality and iteration speed
- Partner with product and design to translate customer needs into technical specs
- Pre-develop new AI capabilities ahead of full product launches
- Debug production issues across the stack, from LLM calls to UI rendering
- Automate straightforward tasks with AI tooling so the team moves faster
- Write clear technical explanations for both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Strong full-stack engineering skills β you can own a feature from database to UI
- Experience building or integrating LLM-powered agents and conversational flows
- Comfortable with data engineering: pipelines, observability, and evaluation metrics
- Ability to work in UI design tools and understand product management workflows
- Willing to dive into debugging when things break, and equally willing to delegate routine work to AI
- Clear communicator who can explain technical tradeoffs at the right level for any audience
- Self-starter who can take a vague problem and turn it into shipped code
Tech Stack & Skills
- Languages: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript
- AI/ML: LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, evaluation harnesses, Whisper (speech-to-text), Claude and other LLM APIs
- Backend: Node.js, REST APIs, async task queues
- Frontend/UI: React, conversational flow builders, prototyping tools
- Data: Data pipelines, observability and metrics, vector stores
- Infrastructure: Cloud hosting, CI/CD, production monitoring
Compensation
β¬4,200 β β¬6,800/month depending on experience and location.
Final Note from the Founder
We're not looking for someone who just writes clean code β we want someone who cares about whether the agent actually helps a support team. If you like building the plumbing that makes AI useful at scale, and you're happy to toggle between writing Python, tweaking a UI, and figuring out why an evaluation metric looks weird, this is the job. We ship fast, we debug together, and we let AI handle the boring stuff so you can focus on the hard problems. Reach out if that sounds like you.
